Just snap a picture of a NYC Parking sign and the app will tell you if you can park there!
The application allows users to decipher a New York City street parking sign by snapping a photo using the “Snap it! Park it!” button. Based on the sign image reader and the time on your device, the application will simply say “Parking Allowed” or “No Parking Allowed”.
A timer will tell you how long until you have to move your car
Once you determine whether it is legal to park, tap “Park It!” to start your meter. The parking meter will count down based on the max time that you are allowed to park in that given spot. Your device will be alerted when your meter is 15 minutes from expiring.
The app also keeps track of where you parked
Need help getting back to your car? After tapping the “Park it!” feature – not only does your parking meter automatically begin, but a pin is dropped in the location of where your vehicle is parked.
A Map will keep track of where your car is, and allow you to easily get directions back
The Map button brings up a street by street map of where both you and your vehicle are currently located. The “Map it” feature will give you turn by turn directions back to the location of your car.
If the application is unable to decipher any specific sign, the proper notification will be given – “Sorry you’re not close enough to any signs to park!”
